Hi All,
I was wondering if anyone can help me out. My current TV/broadband/phone provider have put up their prices. So I am in the process of checking out the competition. How easy is it to change provider while in a trust deed? if so, who would be the best? Im currently with Virgin by the way.
cheers
Carol
You may get a cheaper introductory offer from sky etc but long term I dont know if any are cheaper than the rest. Not sure if credit checks are carried out on new customers as well which may be an issue.
Try phoning virgin and ask to speak to the cancellation department,as you cannot afford the price hike and see if they offer you a special deal(they should do!!).
I did the same with sky TV recently and got a new hd box and reduction in my direct debit for 12 months!!!

Hi I'm on my way
I asked this previously as my internet provider (Sky) is rubbish. Advice from the lovely members was that a credit check would be carried out so being the big scaredy cat I am - I stayed put!
There's not really much to be lost from a failed credit check Neverendingstory.
The thing to remember is that these companies really aren't offering a lot of credit. If you didn't pay your bills for a couple of months they'd soon enough switch off your services before they were owed thousands of pounds.
I bet they mostly take the commercial risk of a few pounds in return for potentially finding a new client who could pay them thousands of pounds over future years.
Lol - thanks TDA - ok I may pluck up the courage and try someone else!
