I have been in trust deed since May 2010 and I will be due to make my final payment in April. When I started the trust deed I had moved back home with my mum who has retired as I was struggling to pay my debts. However, since starting this I have met my boyfriend and we are planning on moving in together. I suddenly realised though that if I do this before the end of the trust deed will his income have to be taken into account? I hadn't even considered this bfore but have a horrible feeling this might be the case and obviously my debt had nothing to do with him so I don't want to drag him into this.

Thanks for any advice.

Hi starrysky

Yes his income will be included, however so will his expenses.

I have found that these normally balance out as you will be expected to contribute to the running costs of the new house, but in my experience there is normally very little difference.
