Hi all,

Just wondered what the scoop is if whilst in your PTD you change address and therefore have a lesser rent to pay by about £150 a month but my diesel costs wuill be nmor as its futher away.
Do i have to pay the whole £150 into the PTD?
Thanks

Hi duckless.

It will just be a question of contacting your trust deed provider with details of your reduced rent and your increased commuting costs.

I'd expect that they'll look for the difference between the two to be added to your existing payment.

Hi duckless.

They're certainly entitled to, sometimes it can be 100%.

We suggest that people discuss this in advance of signing a trust deed and get a written confirmation of what the agreement will be.

Often firms will allow a 50:50 split on these types of extra income when that is done.

If it isn't agreed in advance you're really in the hands of the trustee.

Hi duckless

Common sense would be increase surplus less additional expenses of moving= a figure that is not sufficient to make a contribution change. Based on experience obviously, that reduction in 1 part of expenditure is usually counterbalanced by an increase in another part.

I'm hope it works out & I'm sure it will
