I was told my the administrator when setting up the trust deed that I wouldn't be able to get a mortgage but should be able to get a car hire purchase.
Could anyone let me know if this is true?

Hi patch1334 and welcome.
We have heard from some members that there are car hire purchase options during a trust deed, but the terms may reflect the finance companies perception of higher than normal risk.
