My daughter has been in a trust deed for around 2 years and her car is knackered! What would happen if she had to get rid of it due to the amount of repairs she seems to be constantly getting?

It depends on how much the car is worth really. She would need to speak to her trustee but if she needs the car, eg for travelling to work, then I am sure there could be some arrangement made so that the car can be replaced for something more reliable.
