Hi forum. Just after some advice. Myself and my husband are both in a trust deed with Wilson Andrews all payments made, just paying monthly installments now to pay off equity amount. My husbands finishes in sept and mine in December.
Yesterday I received the news I have cancer. I am having to travel to Glasgow for scans. And my treatment will be in Edinburgh. I'm ok as I work for the NHS so have sick pay. My husband however only gets SSP. He is going to have to take time off to ferry me around and also to take care of the kids.
His income is going to be a lot lot less, we struggle as it is, and it's just something we could do without worrying about. Extending the TD isn't an option- my car is badly needing replaced so we need to get finished and try and get credit for a new one.
Does anyone have any advice? Would WA allow my husband at least to finish his early? He would have approx £415 left to pay.
Hi Nemo1.
I'm so sorry to hear of this health scare. I'm sure everyone reading this forum over the past five years since you began contributing here will join me in standing by your side while you get better over the coming weeks and months.
Please talk to your trust deed provider as soon as you can. I'm sure they'll want to work with you to find a fair and workable route forwards that takes into account the challenges that have arisen now.
Hi nemo1. Sorry to hear your news, my best wishes for a fast and effective treatment.
There is room for trustees to be flexible and I'd be surprised if this couldn't be possible for you. I'd urge you to contact them and explain the situation
Hi Nemo1,
I’m sorry to hear of your news. My best wishes for the future in you treatment and recovery.
It’s important to speak with your Trustee about this as soon as you can. Like Kevin has advised Trustees do have flexibility and I’m positive they will want to work with you and your husband at this difficult time to find a solution.
Let us know how you get on once you speak with your Trustee.

The team here at Wilson Andrews will provide you with as much support and flexibility as we can, and your trustee will work with you to find the best solution for you both.
