It all about options. Advisors should never guide you into something which suits them more than you.

Best advice is always to look at all option, ask loads of questions and then ensure it's all confirmed in writing before agreeing to anything. This then gives you time to decide what's best in your own time.

It's not directly relevant to the trust deed question, but have you looked into the possibility of your husband getting Indefinite Leave to Remain (settlement)?

And ultimately naturalisation as a British citizen - if he wishes.
