Hi Dg021440 and welcome to the forum,

They are not a company that I can recall being brought up on the forum. Hopefully someone has dealt with them and can share their views on them.

In terms of proceeding with a Trust Deed, we always advise clients to ensure that they have had all of their options explained i.e. a Trust Deed, Debt Arrangement Scheme and also Sequestration. You should also ensure that whatever option you decide to proceed with, everything is confirmed in writing with you regarding your payments, how long your plan with last for and what will happen with any assets you have. If you do this, then your plan should run smoothly and without any problems. We also suggest meeting with a couple of advisors from different companies to ensure that your comfortable with everything that has been discussed.

If you can share a little more information about your circumstances i.e. how much debt you have, how much you feel you can afford to pay per month to a plan and if you have any assets such as a property or motor vehicle, we can provide you with some advice.

The most important thing to do is to take your time, ask loads of questions, get it all confirmed in writing and then proceed. The fact you're on the forum asking for advice on a company is a good thing.

Welcome to the forum.

Must admit it isn't a firm I am aware of, though that isn't necessarily a bad thing as we tend to hear more often about firms that people have a problem with!

It is a very important decision, so it must be difficult to choose between the various insolvency firms that are available - which is why a forum like this is so useful. There are hundreds of members that have been in the same situation as you at one point and I am sure they will be willing to share their experience, as many have in the past.

And of course, if you would like a second opinion from any of us experts on here about your particular circumstances then you should feel free to ask.

Hi Dg021440,

I have never posted on here but seen you asking about Campbell Wallace Fraser.

This is who I have my Trust Deed through. I cannot recommend them enough. I've never had any issues.

Thanks for the replies, I should have said I am in a trust deed with them, but there is little about them I the Internet and so far I have had no issues with them, but reading this forum people seem to have issues with their trust deed, so was just looking to see if anyone has experiences with them as with only 11 months to go I don't want to run into problems.

That's good positive feedback.

I hadn't heard of this firm before either, but see it's part of a larger group that I have heard of based in the North-West of England.

Were either of you transferred into this firm from another, or has the firm had a name change at some point since you started?

My trust deed has always been with Campbell Wallace Fraser, but I never choose them myself my initial meeting was with someone form turn around debt who took me through everything and took all the documentation required.

I am just getting very close to end of my 4 years and nervous that it won't be plain sailing as I thought after reading the forum here.

I wouldn't worry about this too much Dg021440.

The very nature of forums is that they tend to attract comments from people who are worried about something, who feel poorly treated, or who don't fully understand something that is important to them and would like some help.

People naturally aren't very inclined to sign up for a forum to explain that everything is just fine and all working out how they expected it to.

A forum can therefore present a slightly one-sided view of a subject. I certainly think that there's a large silent majority of people that have entered into trust deeds and who have been perfectly satisfied by how things have worked out.

You've had no issues thus far - hopefully it will remain just like that.
