Hello all,Â
My wife is in the process of setting up her own business. She is now going to apply for the business loan, will my trust deed affect her in anyway of getting this? My trust deed was in my name and only my name there was no joint debt loans cards etc.

Hi D,
In theory at least, your wife should not be impacted by your trust deed, if none of the components of the trust deed are in joint names.Â
That's assuming that she's starting the business as a sole trader or providing any personal guarantees. There's further separation again if it's a limited company she'll be applying through as its a separate legal entity.Â
