Remember rebuilding your credit rating can be a slow steady process. Small amounts of credit may be easier to be accepted for(catalogues etc),rather than jumping in after your credit file is clear and trying for a mortgage. Regarding mortgage applications,be up front with a whole of market broker and see what they can find for you.
