hi all, ihave missed numerous payments on my td and eventually asked them to release me from my td, i received a letter saying the trustee would seek his discharge and then i could proceed with my sequestration.how long does this normally take? i was keen to be made bankrupt at the time owing to a change in finances which meant i couldnt afford the £180.00 a month or any reduced payment but now i am in a position to make monthly payments again although not as much as £180.00!a mess i know.
can i go to another td company to start again or is this not allowed? or am i best making myself bankrupt, dunno what do do? cheers

bankies till i die!

Hi bankiedonnie.

Would you prefer to be in a trust deed?

Hi bankiedonnie.

You can do what you like once the trust deed has been closed down, including setting up a new TD instead. Seems a shame to start again mind you.

Why not ask them bankiedonnie?

I cannot see that there is anything to lose?

I guess I just cannot see the harm in asking if you haven't been discharged yet and your circumstances have improved.

hi again,
got a reply saying they would accept £100.00 a month but my final payment is in feb 2016,sent me out a current status report to fill in. also could i ask our great and appreciated experts a couple of further questions.firstly i pay a works credit union loan through my wages which i had forgot about at the time of my td starting in 2011 what will happen re this now? will i tell them i cant pay it as it will show up to my advisor on the payslip when i send it in.secondly can debts accrued when i wasnt paying my td(catalogues) be added to td now as i wont clear it till 2016.should i be upfront to my advisor re these further debts? dont want to clear my td and them have other debts to still clear. any help would be appreciated. cheers

Hi bankiedonnie. From your post it sounds as though you maybe don't realise this, but it is no secret that I work for RSM Tenon myself.

Obviously you do need to advise us of this kind of information so that we can ensure that it can be dealt with accordingly - for your own benefit as well as for your creditors. Your case manager will be in touch to advise further as to what can and should be done.
