Hi Trust deed experts,

Is there any allowance allowed for presents for my daughters Birthdays and christmases whilst i'm under a trust deed?

Hello valley,

I don't think a specific allowance would normally be made for this specific expenditure on the record of income/expenditure.

However, and as has come up elsewhere in the forum today, how you actually choose to spend the money left over after your trust deed payment and essential bills is up to you.

The same would be true in sequestration where income and expenditure would be assessed in a very similar way.

We usually have an allowance for "miscellaneous", under which xmas/birthday gifts would fall.
