Interesting today as one of the main topics appears to be a survey on debt. The 2 experts on the radio, one from the CAB discussed the options available for people including an IVA and a Debt Relief Order! Nothing on Trust Deeds or DAS.

No wonder there's so much confusion.

Hi Mark,

It doesn't surprise me. The majority of the time when people look at debt and discuss it, they don't make reference to the fact that Scotland and England are different in terms of legislation and options.

Even on the BBC News website today there is an article ÔÇ£Nine million in ÔÇÿserious' debt across the UKÔÇØ. The information only speaks about English cities and statistics. Nothing to do with Scotland even although the title relates to the UK.

Latest figures from the Bank of England suggest that personal borrowing including mortgages and unsecured loans now stand at £1.43 trillion.

In the past when a bailiff program has been on TV, I always said that a message should be put at the end to say that this only relates to England.
