Just regards Nationwide, when we checked with them directly a few months ago they told us that none of their bank accounts are available to people that are currently in trust deeds.
That obviously creates a risk of a sudden account closure.
Im with nationwide ๐ Gonna open barclays this week.
I think I'm going to look at a nationwide account as soon as the td is off my credit records (may). I would stay with the co op but they dont seem to be doing the account that had mobile phone insurance etc all for less than a tenner a month. The nationwide account has that snd breakdown cover plus more for ten pounds.

A new dawn.
Hi,
I phoned the bank of scotland today to be told that everything was fine I could keep my account even though we were about to sign but still a bit worried as kpmg told me bos wouldn't allow it. Who should I trust don't want my account to be frozen.
Hi mummyof4
I recently dealt with a case with Cooperative and they will allow you to have an account in a Trust Deed but not in Sequestration so this maybe the case with Bank of Scotland, however it has been the case in the past that Bank of Scotland normally would put a freeze on your account. If this happens contact the Trustee or administrator they can call the bank and get it uplifted to allow you access to your account. Then you would need to open elsewhere.
Perhaps open an account with Barclays and then you have a back up.

Thank you.
I'm being lazy most banks want you to go in to open a joint account but my husbands always working and it's a lot of hassle for him to get in.
no problem mummyof4
You could try opening it online, another suggestion is to open two and the other can be a bill paying account. That way it can help you budget
