Hi nells99.

I'd take any mortgage brokerage that advertises itself as being specifically for "bad credit" clients with a pinch of salt.

Any independent mortgage broker can access pretty much any mortgage lender. What I mean by this is that you should try to find a mortgage broker with a good reputation for service rather than a broker that holds themselves out to be a specialist in this market.

The chances are that the bad credit broker will not have much (if any) extra access to different mortgage products. Some of them also look to charge large fees.

Other members are free to share the names (and locations) of brokers that have done a good job for them.

Have you spoken to your own lender to see what they can do for you?

In all the time on the forum, I don't seem to remember one specific lender being mentioned for post trust deed borrowing, as I suspect it depends on individuals circumstances.

As TDS says, probably best to use a broker who can try a few and see what comes back. Let us know how you get on.

Hi Nell's,

I managed to get a secured loan for a kitchen from Brightstar finance while TD still on credit files.

Think they also do mortgages so might be worth a try.

As mentioned it will be down to individual circumstances.
