Well, that's it.

After 3 years and 3 months, I have made my final TD payment today.

I wondered how it would feel and to be honest I'm not sure yet! I've just cancelled my standing order online and that felt good, knowing I would have those monies next month for other things. Think I'll treat myself to a little glass of something tonight as well.

And I also have written confirmation that this is my last contribution and my TD company are now beginning the process of bringing things to a close and my ultimate discharge which could take a few weeks but to be honest after 3 years I can handle that.

Good luck to everyone on here, and thanks for the support and guidance from the forum. It has been invaluable.

That's wonderful news tinsoldier, congratulations on having completed your trust deed.

Thank you for your kind words about the forum as well. It's always rewarding to hear that people have found it to be useful, whether to find out the answer to a question or simply for a little support.

Best wishes for the future. If you wanted to, and you had the time, it would be great if you were able to pop up here on the forum from time. I'm sure it would be helpful for future visitors to hear the views of someone who has successfully been through the process/experience that they may also be contemplating.

Congratulation Tinsoldier, I also paid my last contribution today however the lady that deals with my TD is on holiday till next week and I had a letter about ppi to deal with which is now sorted so hopefully my discharge is pending and I hope to be cancelling my SO next week once I speak to my TD assistant.

It's great when someone posts that they're done without any problems. Especially for those of us with not a lot of payments to go (6 and counting).

Nothing left to discharge - everything's done and dusted!
