Hello notntodeedyet.

Hopefully the fact that your post has been online for twelve hours now without a response will come as some reassurance to you.

We get very few forum threads where people are writing about their trust deeds failing to become protected trust deeds. The reason is that any competent provider of trust deeds knows with a high degree of certainty whether their proposal meets the criteria set by the UK's major creditor organisations.

Indeed if you read the interviews (main menu to the left) with Mark, Kevin, David and Rob you'll see that their firms experience a very small percentage of cases where this happens.

Generally they'll know if there is chance that a trust deed will not become protected in advance. This allows the risk to be discussed with the client in advance so that they can make an informed decision, in advance, whether to proceed.

We do get occasional threads where it seems as though a trust deed might not become protected because there have been expressions from certain creditors that they aren't satisfied with the proposal. Most often however the case has been "tweaked" slightly at this point resulting it in becoming a protected trust deed subsequently.

2009 my wife's trust deed was turned down and she was sequestrated, never really understood why, what happened she continued to pay a monthly sum just like it was a trust deed for the 3 years.
Both of us now sleep very well at night, and we plan our life's round the income we have,it has been a great lesson, although very worrying at the time.Dont worry,it will be ok.

Good insight jimmybee - even in the rare occasions that a trust deed does not become protected, it really isn't the end of the world.
