We are due to pay our lump sum in May. As we cannot remortgage to get the lump sum a member of our family is willing to loan us the amount (34k).
Obviously this person would like to know when we would be discharged and then 12 months later possibly remortgage to repay them.

We have no ppi claims. What is a reasonable time to wait for discharged and what options does anyone have if this is being dragged out?

squench.

Hello squench2002.

Have you or the 3rd party made an attempt to agree a discharge timetable with your trustee in return for paying over this lump sum?

Hi squench

On receipt of the funds, I dont think 3-4 weeks would be unreasonable for you to be discharged.

Hi sequench2002,

I would speak with your Trust Deed company to ensure that they have chased and received any outstanding creditor claims and that all other aspects of the administration has been completed prior to the equity payment being paid. This will help speed the discharge of you and your case.
