Hi.

Just wondering if anyone could confirm something about the credit files for me....

I started trust deed in June 2012 finished in May 2015. So I checked the credit file, the creditors all seem to record it differently.

2 of them show a default date of June 2012, then satisfied on May 2015. I was thinking this is the way it should be, is that right?

Another one shows default starting on June 2012, then default for 19 months in a row after that (I don't know why not 36 months in row if that's the way they are doing it) then satisfied on May 2015. So I phoned them and they said "we must reflect the account accurately so we will not be changing it". I said it is not accurate it should either be a default on June 2012 or 36 continual defaults. But they wouldn't listen and said it would stay as it was. Are they correct?

The other 2 just show random dates and no satisfied date. I've sent letters to them so just need to wait.

Basically I am just wondering what format the file should show, so that I know what I am talking about the next time I speak to any of them. Should it just show 1 default on the date of trust deed signing, then nothing more until satisfied on end of trust deed?

Thanks

Steve

Also 1 of the companies is called Pco Holdco Sarl, does anyone have a phone number for them? I have searched internet but can only find a PO Box address on a random forum somewhere. I sent a letter there but a few weeks ago but obviously no reply.

Hi steve1984.

Usual warning - not one of us is an expert on credit files or has any training on this subject.

I'm not sure that it matters what is shown in connection to a default notice provided that:

1 - The date of the default notice isn't much after the start of the trust deed.

2 - It's marked as being satisfied or partially satisfied once you're discharged.

I think the Pco Holdco Sarl contact details questions has come up here before. You might want to try using the forum search function to see if you can dig up an answer.

Thanks tda. So they are in the wrong then having 19 months of consecutive defaults from start of td? The last default date should around June 2012 and not oct 2013 or whichever it was they have put?

I will phone again today and see if someone else answers the phone

I'm not saying that they're wrong steve1984, I don't know the answer to that I'm afraid.

I'm not sure that it matters though, I think the two really important things are listed in my previous answer.

A "default notice" is a single-date event. It's different to marking your account from month-to-month as being in default status.

PCO Holdco haven't updated my files either. They are maybe just really really slow. They drop off next month anyway.
