Alphera car finance, entering trust deed.

Hi there I will be entering a trust deed in the next few weeks, I currently have car finance with alphera, will they reposes my car as I am entering a trust deed?

Welcome to the forum Rk123.

I have no specific knowledge of this firm.

Most finance firms are fine provided that you keep up with the payments.

You should however check your agreement with them to see if there is any type of insolvency clause in there. There are a few who will recover a vehicle in the event of insolvency (such as signing a trust deed).

The clause regarding right of termination in insolvency is standard in all car finance terms and conditions I think, however most lenders are happy not to exercise this right as long as they are receiving the monthly contractual payments.

No insolvency practitioner can give you any guarantees on this though - there is always a chance that there could be a problem.
