Having found this site a little under 3 years ago I have, what feels like daily, kept a close eye on what had been happening. Most of the posts have kept my hopes up and there have been some that made me very nervous. Today was hopefully my last payment on my Trust Deed with an additional £500 for the interest in my property. What feels like an enormous weight off mine and my wife's shoulders has (hopefully!) been lifted. For those who have just started a TD, believe me the 36 months will fly by.
I have one question to the experts regarding discharge. Having paid £500 for the interest in my property does it generally take a month to clear payment as I have been informed this morning that it will....Would have thought a Bank Transfer would show up pretty much on the day it was made....Hence providing me with an earlier discharge (Form 5 etc)....Thanks and keep up the good work !

It certainly shouldn't take a month for the payment to clear - i guess that your case manager is factoring in some time for dealing with paperwork etc in order to discharge you. A month isn't uncommon for this I'd have thought.

Hi trident227,

It's good to hear that your Trust Deed's have worked and that you are now coming to the end of them.

I think the company are just factoring in a little time for things to be processed and the paperwork completed as Kevin said.

I'm sure it won't be long till you receive your Form 5.
