Hi

I have noticed that I have now been removed from the AIB Register, how long does it take for it to be removed from your credit report ?

My six years will be up in the 13th April 2016

thanks
Nells

Not long after 13th April I would think.

Worth getting a copy of your report around a month later to check.

Hi Nells

Each creditor will have a default date.
Check that the dates match the date the trust deed was signed (or very soon after).

Each one will fall off six years from the individual default dates.

If the dates are incorrect, you will need to contact the Company concerned and provide them with a copy of Trust Deed and Form 5, or the Form 5, highlighting signing and discharge dates and as them to correct their records in accordance with the Data Protection Act.

Hope that helps. It is fantastic reaching the six year point, isn't it!

Hi nells99.

As I've just written on another thread, don't worry about the credit score too much.

They're often meaningless.

You could have a 999 score on Experian before the six years are up, but an individual lender might automatically bar you from acceptance because there's a old trust deed showing there.

Just after your six years are up, you might have a far from perfect credit score but be accepted for the same credit product.

Hi TDA

Do lenders see trust deeds even after they have been removed ?

also on my form5 the discharge date is September 2013 therefore will it be 6 years from the discharge date or the date of signing the TD which was 13/4/10 ? I seem to have myself confused now !!

Really cant wait til the 6 years up!!!!!!!

Six years from the start nells99.

At that point (or very soon afterwards) your trust deed will no longer be visible on your credit file.

Could lenders keep their own records about old insolvencies? It's possible.

Could lenders ask you in an application whether you've ever been insolvent? Some do - often mortgage lenders - and the applicant would be obligated to answer truthfully.

There's also a record of older trust deeds on the Edinburgh Gazette website - but I doubt many lenders go looking.

Most people seem to find that once the trust deed is off their credit record things get much easier. Remember that most borrowing applications are dealt with in an automated fashion using just the details in your application plus the content of your credit file to arrive at a decision.

Hi nells99.

I've absolutely no idea. I noticed it a few months ago on a post that I wrote (and then edited).

My personal solution is now not to use the word d-r-o-p any more!
