Hi there, i was discharged from my trust deed early 02/10/11 after a third party paid the remaining amount. I have my discharge letter but on recently checking my credit file on noddle (part of call credit) i noticed most of my accounts are still defaulting each month. After calling RSM Tenon they said this was because they were still trying to claim ppi back and they haven't paid the creditors their dividend, so its not closed on their side. Is this normal or are they fobbing me off ?

Welcome to the forum p boy kk.

Trust deed firms don't interact with credit reference agencies at all.

The explanation makes sense to me and this should resolve itself once the PPI claims are complete.

I'm glad to hear that your discharge hasn't been delayed by PPI as some firms seem to do.

Agree with TDA - this is normal practice given the requirement for Trustees to investigate PPI and whether there is a claim that will benefit the estate.

I am still waiting for RSM tenon to accept that theres no ppi to reclaim and get on with paying my creditors. Some have marked my accounts as satisfied or settled but some still have it in default. Seems to depend entirely on the creditor in question.
