Are the creditors receiving partial settlement in bankruptcy too, and therefore able/likely to make an entry?

Again I'm not 100% certain about credit report entries Pamjo.

In terms of whether or not creditors get paid, it depends whether you are in a position to more than cover the bankruptcy fees through income contributions and/or assets.

Hi Pamjo

I am not an expert on credit files, but in many cases for bankruptcy there is no dividend to creditors, so I don't know whether a file could be marked as partly satisfied. It was a lenghty post from Kautostar, with loads of valuable information - well done to kautostar for taking the time to put that all together.

just to update this thread.

I received a letter from the bank that were showing the wrong information's lawyers on the 27th jan 2012, stating that they were going to defend the case which was due to be heard tomorrow (10th Feb). I knew they did not have a case to defend so this was more a case of them trying to frighten me off with a large legal firm.

Anyway, lo and behold, today they have asked me to dismiss the case and offered to pay me compensation as well as remove the defaults, which i have agreed to.

I've just checked my credit file and it is all clear, finally. It's been a long time since i was able to say that and it feels good (not that i want credit but you know what i mean).

Hope everyone follows the advice on this forum and you won't face the same problems ive had, and good luck to you all with your trust deeds!
