I am in a protected trust deed at the moment however just wanted to clarify a couple of things. When you apply for house insurance the companies ask if you have ever been declared bankrupt. I wanted to know what to answer. Also, when your Trust Deed is finished assuming you have made all the payments are you automatically discharged? I would appreciate any answers to these questions.

Hi Casperdog,
The 1st question is open to debate. Personally I would say no as this is an agreement between you and your creditors.
On the 2nd point, there is no automatic discharge after 3 years. This needs to be facilitated by your Trustee.
