Hi everyone
July 2016 marks our 6th year of signing TD....can't believe how quickly the time has gone in (for all of you guys at the beginning it really does fly in).
Hoping we will be able to remortgage, not looking for more money but desperately want off NR's SVR of 4.78%....what are our chances? Would be looking to borrow approx £95k, house worth about £125k?
And, what about our credit files, is this the time to make sure they are marked up to date..how do we do this?
Thanks for any advice[:)][:)]
Hi boys1211.
Probably a question to put to a mortgage broker rather than us lot! Your chances will depend on many factors that a broker can analyse for you.
Regarding your credit files; probably best to let us know what's on there so we can usefully comment.
Sorry just curious...6 years in a trust deed?
Oh thanks TDA, just curious about post, didnt realise boys1211 was discharged 2 years ago.
HI Boys 1211
Congratulations on reaching the 6 year mark - you will be looking forward to a clean record on your credit file.
I recommend you start ASAP checking if the Creditor Default dates are the same as the Trust Deed signing date, or they will remain on your file until 6 years after the default date they have listed.
Good luck with getting your new mortgage!
Thanks for the replies. Took the month's free trial with Experian. Credit score is 626 - "poor" - no surprises there then.
Debts entered into TD showing as defaulted, with 2 of them having balances - Next directory & RBS credit card. Looking for advice as what to do to get this sorted. Thanks in advance guys
It's going to be a case of contacting them directly and demanding that they update your file I'm afraid boys1211.
Default notices should be marked satisfied or partially satisfied.
The balances should be set to zero.

Is it just a case of googling the numbers & explaining the situation? Sorry for all the questions
Thanks
Hi boys1211.
I could try to explain my thoughts on this, but it's not something I've had to do in practice.
I'm hoping that one of our members that has sorted this out for themselves could tell you about their own experience and offer some tips...
