A Trust Deed over 39 months, taken direct with one of the industry's reputable companies for so called "arrangement fees" is awful in my opinion!!

Hi josephine.

We suggest that, where people are informed that a trust deed will last more than 36 months, they seek a second opinion from another firm before signing up.

There can be good reasons for an extended term, though sometimes it comes down to above-average fee levels being charged and a shorter term is available elsewhere.

As discussed on one of your previous threads, signing a trust deed is voluntary. If you have voluntarily agreed to a 39 month term then there is unfortunately little that can now be done.

Mine was 42 months due to large amount of debt. I knew that 36 was normal but they can run on for longer and I was well aware of all that at the start.
