Hi Buz

It may have been a rant, but it was a very good and informative rant.

Hi Mark,

Your post made me smile and laugh to myself. I remember back when I was growing up and still living with parents and how you describe your daughter is how I was. Always leaving lights on, turning the heating on full whilst there were windows and doors open etc.

I even recall the pressure and fuss I used to make about needing the most expensive trainers, jacket, school bag etc for going back to school. The pressure I think as you say that kids of that age can be under is underestimated but it could also be the same for parents trying to do their best for the kids. It was almost life or death back then for me. Silly looking back at it now.

Many years later I'm now onto my step son for the very same things that my Dad was once onto me for. How times have changed. I think I'm at stage one with him at the moment!

Hi David

I think we all eventually become our Dad. God forbid!

I'm continually moaning about the state of music to my daughter, then asked her if she's run me to the Black Sabbath concert on Monday.
Clinging to my youth.......
