Please help me clarify.

I use RBS as an example.

I was discharged from my Trust Deed in November 2011.

They failed to update my records, only recently as a result of a FoS complaint they marked account as partially satisfied.

The last 2 months history on my shows a zero balance, however from 3 months and further it shows a balance. Should this be zero and they need to backdate to the point of discharge?

Same questions about the 8, why do they still show in 2013 when the account was satisfied in 2011?

Hello Glamgran78.

Please bear in mind that none of us are experts about credit ratings or credit reference agencies. It's a separate topic from debt advice.

My understanding however is that these balances should have been set to zero when you were discharged from your trust deed. That's because your file should reflect the reality - that reality being that you no longer owed the money. I'd have thought that the months in arrears (the 8) should follow the same principle.

You could call the Information Commissioners Office if you wanted to clarify this. What lenders can report about you is partially governed by the data protection act.

I done just that.
They gave the same answer.
So I had raised a complaint with RBS via FOS due to the delay in updating my records and added this fact on to it.
They will investigate and if my complaint is upheld I will arrange for my other debtors to be contacted
