Well just got the shock of my life there. My credit entries had looked ok for a while. Then a default suddenly appeared in May - despite me being discharged in 2011. After several telephone calls and a very strongly worded letter to the creditor no reply. Just logged on its disappeared along with all my other settled accounts and my score has gone from 1/5 to 4/5!!!!!!!!!!! Forgot that they dropped off after a while anyway. My husband also has a couple of defaults showing although accounts are either settled or up-to-date he has now TD but I'm wondering when they will drop off his account can anyone tell me?

Hi WIKIKEE.

Any correct credit file entry will stay there for a period of six years.

Incorrect entries you can get amended.

I'm glad to hear that your credit score is improving.
