I completed my trust deed last month however while looking through my credit file I have noticed that an unsecured loan with Whistletree that was included in my trust deed has been shown as in default since the date I started my trust deed.
The account status is closed, but the details on my record show 5 years of default.
Why is this the case and should it be like that as none of the other creditors accounts show up in my file.
Anyone else had this problem?
Hi Marsh1.
I'm not sure this reporting is unreasonable. The reality is that this account has been in default since your trust deed began.
The question is more what can you do about it now. Sections (6) and (7) in the following article will explain what you can do to ensure your credit file is updated properly after your discharge:

Have a read and let us know if you have further questions or concerns.
