Absolutely Paul (plasticdaft). A new day, but I am still very angry about the way I was spoken to yesterday. Maybe if my daughters weren't in the same room when I was on the call, I wouldn't have been as polite as I was. In saying that, at least I can console myself with the fact that I didn't lower myself down to, what was in effect school ground talk.

Hi EdM.

In four years I can only remember one concern being raised about this firm here. It was resolved to the satisfaction of all involved promptly and professionally. Chris was involved.

Hopefully you'll be able to speak to Chris very soon and be able to move forwards. I'd suggest calling as soon as you're free to.

I will do TDA. As I said previously, I haven't had an issue when dealing with Chris and Donald McKinnon at Wylie and Bisset. I found them straight down the line, straight to the point and very fair. Actually surprisingly (more than)fair considering they accepted my offer which was a good deal below the original figure. I've no complaints at all about them, only praise in fact. That being said what happened yesterday was nothing short of a disgrace. The person I spoke to owes me an apology.

Edm,

Please call me anytime to discuss your case. Alternatively, if you wish, you can attend my office and discuss any concerns you have in person.

Chris is not currently posting in the Trust-Deed.co.uk forum.

Not long in from work. Called Chris on Thursday. One or two people involved in the process weren't in, so he promised he would look into my case and talk to the others when they get back to work. Then he called me on Friday to say no creditors had objected and will be sending out Form 5, 1st class (post). Also 1st class service when talking to the doers (and the knowledgeable)in the firm. Got my form 5 in Saturday afternoon. It doesn't get better than that. Just wish I had spoken to you the first time around! Thanks Chris.

Good result!

Interesting when an individual uses their 'experience' against you as though to invalidate your point/enquiry.
Time spent does not equal experience. We all know of teachers, doctors etc who spend time in a profession without maintaining up to date training or even being open to continuous learning.
My impression is you can always get access to 'more recent' legislation and interpretation of it here than with people in administrative positions in a company. I really feel vexed for people who have to accept these conversations and being treated poorly who would not if they were part of the forum.

Hi EdM.

Really glad (but not surprised) that it's all sorted out for you now.

Pamjo- Thanks. I don't think anyone could have put it better than you so eloquently did. They just make themselves seem really foolish, and give the impression of being static. Thing is the (up-to-date) information/knowledge I gained was from, in part, a more senior person in that guy's firm i.e. Chris. So the guy made a backside of himself in more ways than one. I have always found the people with the worst attitudes in whatever walks of life (but especially in the work place) are just trying to mask their inability.
TDA- No I'm not surprise either. That's twice I have an issue and Chris came through for me in the fastest time possible. I have Chris' direct number now...probably not need it! A lesson for anyone else who has their ptd with Chris' firm is to call him when you have an issue or if you are getting nowhere elsewhere.

Well done, a result for perseverance!
Because of the specific difficulties which bring any of us to an IP firm, some of the information we're given on some topics may not sit well but at least if you know it's reasonably accurate you can use it and move forward.

I have found on the whole, people who succeed and progress in any organisation or profession are those who respect their clients/customers, even welcome them and enjoy the work they do to improve their circumstances?
It's not accidental that they have more interest, focus clearly and empathise with the impact of a situation. In this way, they inevitably understand their value to the customer, client, punter, patient better.
Then there are those who milk any opportunity to assert some misguided superiority where they can. I genuinely believe this is a minority but unfortunately can knock you sideways if you're feeling vulnerable anyway. Boils down to problem solvers or problem makers!
