Hi all,
My trust deed will finish this year with the last payment due July 1st. I was just wondering when to expect my trust deed to be fully discharged? Will I have evidence to show from the last 3years or anything like that? Not the best a keeping bank statements etc so it will let me know if I should start keeping some or get copies of any.
It's a straight forward TD with no assets.

Thankyou

Welcome to the trust deed forum kmc1.

It's always a good idea to keep important documents like bank statements. Your trustee is entitled to ask for them. You may wish to hang onto things like bills and payslips etc as well.

When your responsibilities are completed you'll be issued with some paperwork (a "Form 5") that confirms this to you and anyone that you show it to.

How long should it take? Frankly it shouldn't take more than a few weeks, though sadly we hear that a few firms take much much longer than this. Hopefully you'll be with a firm that gets on with it.
