Does having one of the pre-paid credit cards help build your credit rating while you are in a TD or do you have to wait until you are discharged before you'll see an improvement?

Some prepaid cards come with some kind of CreditBuilder function. We describe one at:

These might help you rebuild a credit rating along with other measures.

A normal prepaid card without this will do nothing. No credit is being used.

Hi just to let you know that I am still in my TD and was succesful in obtaining a vanquis card. All I got it for was to put petrol on it and pay for it at when I get the statement through which I have been doing. I have now started paying this through my thinkbanking account which makes it even easier..

We have heard from people who have completed their trust deed payments, but who have not yet been discharged, getting certain types of credit cards approved in the past.
