I have been approved for a Vanquis cc. Didn't think I'd get one due to defaults etc. and only just having been discharged from TD, and I don't know whether to be pleased or not! Husband has already said it's to go in the bin or stay in the house so that I can't use it. I explained that I wanted it to try and rebuild my credit rating, and planned on putting petrol on it during the last week of the month then the 3rd and 4th weeks, then the 2nd 3rd and 4th weeks then the whole month, putting the money aside in savings account to pay it off when it's due. That's the plan anyway I personally reckon I will still be too damned scared to use it at all ๐Ÿ™‚

Hi WIKIKEE.

If rebuilding your credit is the aim I'm not sure spending ยฃ100 per month on the card will do you much more good than spending ยฃ5.

It's the sound record of prompt payment that helps as far as I'm aware, not the amounts in particular.

Will stick to the fiver then, although with the price of fuel these days that won't get me off the forecourt ๐Ÿ™‚
