Hi, I was discharged from my Trust Deed in Jan 2013, although iam discharged my PTD is still open for PPI claims, so Invocas tell me. I have written to all my creditors sending them a copy of my discharge letter, i have asked them to update their records and my credit file to reflect the information. All but one have complied to my request, however Tesco Bank refuse to update my file as they say they have not been paid their final dividend, in my letter Invocas state that all creditors are duty bound to update my file. Can you please advise me on how to proceed to resolve this isse.

David

Hi jimmybee.

I think the first contact is a general request through their usual customer services or data protection teams.

If they fail to respond adequately I'd suggest making a complaint.

If the complaints process still doesn't get the result expected then hand it over to the Information Commissioner.

Tesco still send me statments of arrears they state they are required to under the consumer credict act very clever quoting law but they should read thye whole act....... donkies.

give them 28 day (seems like it has been done) complain to the ico and you should see it being changed soon after that.

remember just because they are big does not mean they understand the legal requirements ( ref; stanards chartered hsbc, rbs lloyds etc.....)
