Afternoon everyone
Just to pass on info regarding our bank account application
Delighted to say that we now have joint account with bank of Scotland
The advisor was excellent amh so very helpful
We were honest about trust deed and have managed to get £100 overdraft (I wasn't overly keen on getting overdraft but took it 'just incase' )
Advisor wanted to pass our details over to mortgage advisor (we currently are on NR SVR).....so we said ok go ahead...don't hold out much hope of getting remortgage but will see what happens

Hi boys1211,
Thanks for coming back onto the forum to share your experiences post Trust Deed. I'm sure this information will reassure a lot of people and come in useful.
It's worth speaking to the Bank of Scotland mortgage advisor to see what they can do as you never know. Please Let us know how this goes.
I think it just goes to show that there is a life after a Trust Deed it just takes a little bit of time for thing to work themselves out.

Just as a follow on, I met with a BOS mortgage advisor last week and she was very helpful, and hopeful! She basically said my husband needs to get his Form 5, we need to pay off any credit we currently have and we need to find another £10k to get the deposit for our required purchase price.
I'm glad I went to the meeting as at least we know what we need to do now, and that it's not impossible to get a mortgage post trust deed!
Aw that's really good to hear !! Always light at the end of the tunnel eh??
