Hi, my SC clearance has lapsed and I need to renew it. I’ve been in a PTD since December 2019 and I was wondering if this would prevent me from passing the check.

I was in the same boat a couple of years ago, but just declared my situation and got another 10 years SC clearance without any further queries.
As long as you dont hide it, there wouldnt be an issue. Honesty is much more important in this situation.

I'd expect the precise requirements for clearance would depend upon your role rather than being a topic we can precisely answer here.
We'd fully endorse Jimmi's suggestion of disclosing the trust deed ahead of the checks being made. Openness and honesty are generally what employers are looking for from employees who are subject to security clearance.
