I don't get it...when I signed the trust deed my earnings arrestment was in place. The council only took it off when I forwarded them on an email saying that it had not become protected. So they took 3 arrestment in total and then took off the arrestment and I paid for the trust deed the following month. Does this not mean that it was in place when the TD was signed?

That your trust deed had "not" become protected?

I thought it was protected? Could you confirm.

Also, in this thread you said the earnings arrestment wasn't in place when you signed your trust deed:

Again, could you confirm please?

When the man first came out to see me and I signed initial paperwork, he told me to cancel all payments to any creditors. Within a few weeks, I had the earnings arrestment then I signed official paperwork. It took 6 weeks for TD to become protected (signed initial paperwork in July with TD protected in October). When the man initially came out this is what I was referring to by signing the trust deed, not the official paperwork. I remember it was in place for the official paperwork which someone came out and signed with me because it stipulated in the contract something regarding having an earnings arrestment in place which I queried x
