Hi, I'm sure this question has been asked millions of times & any advise would be grateful..
How long does the bad debt remain on my credit file? It's been over 6 years since I signed my trust deed & I had to extend the term..
Think it finishes this year.
Thanks

Hello JBR and welcome.

Anything that goes on your credit file stays there for six years from the point of entry.

The trust deed should therefore vanish six years after it began.

Have any of your creditors made credit file entries after the trust deed began? For example, default notices?

Hi JBR.

Is there something in the "public records" section?

I think you have to click on it to open up that part of the report.

Hi.

TDA : Will the Trust Deed still show at all, even under public records, if it has been over 6 years?

I thought everything drops off after 6 years, no?

Thanks

xxx

You're correct Thinkingofthefuture.

On my second answer I didn't check back to the original question and the mention that it was more than six years ago.

If its more than six years from the start it should be gone.
