Hi,
thanks in advance for all help

I have recently finished my trust deed. I got my form 5 through the post and wondered what was next to improve my credit. I checked equifax and my loans and credit cards on my trust deed are still showing as defaults. How do I get these to show as settled? I was discharged on the 16/9/2016 also do I need to contact the reigstary of insolvency to inform of my discharge.

Hi Piranha84.

Congratulations on completing your trust deed.

Making sure your credit record is updated is a great start in terms of rebuilding your credit rating. You may need to contact your former creditors about default notices. This page explains why and how:

No need to contact the Register of Insolvencies. Your discharge only happened (in a technical sense) once it was recorded on this register.
