Hi folks, I was in a trust deed with Rsm tenon and made my final payment March 2015. They were investigating ppi however there would have been no ppi to claim. I had phoned not long after last payment and was told it would be settled during the summer as they saw now issues. How do I go about finding out if I am officially out of my trust deed? As I struggle to get in contact as my company has changed 3/4 times during my trust deed term. I have searched on the register of insolvencies but cannot find any details of my trust deed.

Also would be looking for any advice on building a credit score back up as will be looking to move house in a few years.

Thanks

Welcome to the forum gebstar84.

If your trust deed isn't on the Register of Insolvencies it sounds like you're discharged - the entry vanishes a year after your trustee is discharged (which cannot happen unless you've been discharged first).

To be sure contact your trustee - or the AIB might be able to advise you if you cannot reach your trustee.

Regarding your credit rating, the two most important things are:

1 - Check what's on your credit file is accurate and current.

2 - Make some responsible use of credit, albeit without building up much or any debt.

Thanks for the reply.

Have searched again and now found it on the register but it shows as being signed off from the debtors on April 2015 but nothing in at the trustee part. Tried to email the contact email address that was on the register page for my trust deed but came back as post master undelivered email as if email address wasn't used.

Any ideas of what next to do?

It sounds like you've been discharged in that case - which means you can start to work on your credit rating if that's important to you.

hi gebstar84,

It does sound like you have been discharged but If you are unsure I would pick up the phone to your Trustee and ask them about your discharge.

You should have received a Form 5 certificate of discharge in the post when you are discharged. If you haven't received this you will want to give them a call and ask for a copy. It's handy to have for future.
