My Trust Deed should have officially completed in August last year but due to my ex-wife (the payments came out her bank account) missing 9 of my payments (unbeknown to me as she hid the letters) it was extended. However my parents paid up the remainder in Nov 2011.
Almosy a year has gone by and all I can get is that they are still persuing a very large company for a PPI claim amouting to £8,500.
They have continually had no response from this company as they wish to keep the claim money as an offset to my debt. I spoke to my Trust Deed advisor and they said they did not want to press this company too hard in case they took them to court!
Can the Trust Deed continue indefinitly until this claim is realised? I want no part of this money. All I want is a discharge.

Welcome to the trust deed forum Studley.

Could you tell us the month and year that you originally signed your trust deed?

It may make a difference to the information that we provide to you.

Thanks Studley.

In that case your trustee is probably free to discharge you while they remain in office (that means that they aren't discharged from the trust deed) to continue dealing with the PPI.

We're hearing that most trust deed firms are happy to do this, though one firm has been mentioned here a few times as not being prepared to do so.

I'd suggest that you ask them to discharge you and still remain in office themselves to deal with the PPI.
