Hi

I was discharged from a my Trust deed on March 2006 and I had to reregister for a bank account last april with the bank that was included in it.

I have not been able to use the account as they wanted to see my discharge letter once shown they will open the account.

There was a death in the family recently and some money would be transfered into this account would or can they take this money to repay the old debt or will it be ok in the account?.

regards
gordy

Welcome to the forum gordy.

I don't see how they could possibly justify setting-off any funds paid into that account if any debts you previously had to them no longer exist (because you completed your trust deed and were discharged).
