Hi again, Its been some time since I've posted!

I was discharged from my Trust Deed in Feb 2015 after successfully completing all payments. And my trustees discharged themselves last month.
My quick question is if I had an opportunity to be a Director of a company next year could I take up that position?
My Trust Deed run from Sep 2011 to Feb 2015.
I had previously been a Director of a company from Aug 2007 to Feb 2009 at which point I resigned the Directorship.
The company I had been a Director for had a number of other Directors but they had gone out of business a few months after I resigned. I was not involved in their liquidation process.
Would you think I might be free to take up a position? Thanks.

Hi DontDoDebt.

Easy and positive answer to this one for you.

You can be a company director during a trust deed, so there's certainly no issue afterwards.

It's bankruptcy/sequestration in which you cannot be a company director until you've been discharged.

Hi DontDoDebt,

Like TDA has advised no issues with you taking up a directorship.

If the company comes to borrow money then there could be an issue with your creditor rating if a lenders looks at this. Just something to keep in mind.

Sounds like 2016 might be a good year for you. Good luck.
