Hi everyone
Was just looking for some advice. As some of you may know I think I had one of the first trust deeds reopened due to a PPI cheque. I know this is all still completely up in the air but I'm just wondering if anyone thinks once the decision is final re appeals etc whether this will have any impact on trust deeds already reopened?
My name has been on the accountant in bankruptcy again after 3 years since they reopened it and am extremely afraid this is going to affect my employment when they do checks and my plans to buy a home.
I have had absolutely no communication whatsoever from my ex trustee so no clue what has happened to my money or when my name will be removed again. I am writing to them to find out but not holding out much hope due to previous attempts.
Anyone any advice about what to put in my letter to them or any other body I can contact to investigate.
Hello Pascal12.
This is just a guess, but if your trustee hasn't (again) discharged themselves this may be because they're waiting for legal clarity on the position?
We don't know the nature of your employment, or the policies of your employer, but the register of insolvencies should clearly indicate that you have been discharged from your trust deed for quite some time.
Regarding the purchase of a home, I think the key point is to make your solicitor aware in advance of this situation. You'll then be able to supply any documentation and information they need in advance to ensure that their insolvency checks later don't cause delays.
If you don't feel as though you're being treated appropriately by your former trustee, you do have the option to make a formal complaint to them.
Hi TDA, I will try writing to the trustee in the first instance to see what clarity they can give on the situation with it, thanks for getting back to me.
