Hello
i am new to the forum. i would like advice from anyone who has been or is in a similar situation. My partner was made redundant recently and we have 3 small children. we have around ?ú13,000 of unsecured debt (between loans and credit cards) that we just cannot afford to pay at the moment. We have a mortgaged home with very lttle equity on it. we have been with 2 DMC's and were let down by both as they were not forwarding our monies to the creditors. We are now thinking that a Trust Deed may be an option to relieve this financial pressure. can anyone advise on a good trust deed or help in finding a solution to this matter.
Any help or advice would be grately appreciated.
Hello bella20 and welcome to the forum.
It's very difficult to advise what the best option would be for you without a detailed understanding of your exact circumstances. However we will certainly try to point you in the right direction if you could let us have a little more information.
You mention that your partner was recently made redundant. Has your partner been able to secure new employment as yet?
After you pay for all of your essential expenditure (mortgage, council tax, utility bills, food, transport etc) how much do you think you could pay towards the debts each month?
Of the ?ú13000 of debt could you let us know how much of it each of you are responsible for?
I think what would be need before any advice could truly be offer is a rough income and expenditure.
my partner has not yet secured other employment and of the debt amount roughly ?ú9,500 is mine and the rest is hers. after our essential iving expenses etc are paid, we are left with roughly ?ú150 spare each month.
