I'm in a trust deed and was allowed to keep a car I got on HP, am I allowed to sell or give my wife the car to trade in for another which would be ideal as its not practical for our daily use being a 2 seater.

Presumably the HP is now paid off?
This is one of those questions that you'll directly need to ask your trustee. It may depend upon the value of the vehicle and/or what was agreed at the start of the trust deed.
They'll not stand in your way without good reason though.
