Hi,

I have the kind of job that keeps me travelling constantly. I have allot of upfront costs such as Flights, Hotels etc... My company and family help with this, however itÔÇÖs very difficult. I know I cannot have a CC in a TD (protected) that much I know, however a family member has suggest they add me as an additional card holder so in the event I am caught out I can add the expense to their card. Refunded in full in the cycle of expense payments. I have asked my IP if this is acceptable and they are going to get back to me. I will have no credit myself, so want to be clear on that.

This is for expenses only and not for my own use! I have learned all too well the decisions of the past and have no thoughts of going back there again.

Do you see a problem with this?

Cheers,

TT

Hi TT,

It's good to hear from you again.

I can well understand the trouble not having a card would cause with a job that involves a lot of travelling.

In terms of the Trust Deed this seems to pose an interesting question. While you are not taking on credit from the card provider (it's the main cardholder who is doing that) I suppose you technically would be taking credit from your family member.

The other side of this is that you only want to take this course of action to enable you to do your job; the very job that will make the payments you make into the Trust Deed possible.

I wonder how Kevin or Mark might view a similar request from one of their clients?

Hi, Thanks for your reply. I received confirmation this morning that in my case this will be allowed as I have large upfront expenditure with travel which I cannot meet with my own funds. I suspect this is really down to each personÔÇÖs circumstance and IP. To say that I am relived is an understatement and Many thanks for your reply. Hope this helps someone else, as I hunted high and low on the web for a post on this topic.

Regards,
TT

Well done TT. Glad to see once again that common sense can prevail in the handling of Trust Deeds by good firms.
