Ever since i entered into the PTD in april, what nightmare i find myself in!!!

As i had 2 overdrafts with my bank i was persuaded to put this into the trust deed however i wish i had went with my gut instinct at the time and stayed with my bank that i have been with since i was 16.

These accounts were joint with my husband and i am 100% sure that i told them this before signing the TD. Now we have the bank chasing my husband up for both overdrafts on the accounts which also equates to a lot of money!!!!.

We are now worse off than ever and i cant believe i have been sooooo stupid to ever into this TD.

I also let them value my house to show no equity which i know was wrong but i took their advice and they are the experts not me!!!. I really wish i just sold my house, cleared my debts, still maintaining my excellent credit rating and most importantly being HAPPY!!!

Now i am miserable cant sell my house and my poor husband now being chased for the overdrafts!!! oHHH and the bank still gets a dividend at the end of the 3 year some Deal!!!

So who are the winners in this because its certainly not me!!!

And as for the trustee that im with anytime i make a call to query something that i am worried about the answer that i get is "you were told all this before signing" well im saying "no i didnt". i might not have fully understood everything in the beginning but i certainly do now and feel as though they are treating me now as if i am stupid.

i hope to god that the next 3yrs zoom by !!!![:(!]

Hi Nells and thank you for posting on the forum and i am sorry you are having a hard time recently.

When joint debts go into a Trust Deed the other party will become liable for the whole amount, this should have been explained to you before entering the trust deed.

Your husband will need to come to some arrangement with the bank to repay by instalments if he cannot pay the whole amount, do you think he can afford to offer them something every month? does your husband have other debts?

If you are not happy with the service you have received you could consider putting your complaint in writing to the firm you are using
